Dotan's Kick-Up Rudder, Wooden blade, club version
The Rudder is designed for use on dinghy and catamarans 5 ft to 12 ft
The set includes a UV protected rudder box made of polyamide with fiberglass reinforcement.
The blade is made of high-quality Okoumé plywood and is covered three times with varnish of high strength and wear resistance. The Dotan rudder blade's profile is designed on the basis of the NACA 0009 hydrodynamic profile and has a thickness of 14 mm.
The kit also includes an aluminum tiller with deep anodizing, durable and lightweight, made of pipe ø28 * 1,5mm. At the end of the tiller, there is a cover that protects against water ingress.
The gudgeons have holes of ø8 mm.
Sailors can adjust the distance between the upper and lower gudgeon, thereby enabling compatibility with diverse boat transoms/sterns. The upper gudgeon can be moved along the rudder box track. Position it according to your boat's specific transom/stern dimensions and fix it in the track by screwing in the four screws supplied.

Warranty
Your Dotan rudder system comes with a 3-year limited warranty for the rudder box and with a 2-year limited warranty for the blade. The rudder box for Optimists has a 10-year limited warranty.
