How long does shipping take?
We offer two delivery options:
– Economy: 5–10 days depending on the region.
– Express: 1–4 days.

Yes, we ship worldwide.
Where are orders shipped from?
All orders are shipped from our warehouse in the European Union.
Compatibility
Which rudder fits my boat (Optimist, catamaran, dinghy, etc.)?
Please send us more information about your boat — photos, sketches with dimensions of the stern and existing rudder, or any other relevant details. Based on this information, we will recommend the most suitable rudder from our collection.
Assembly & Use
Tiller Fixation
There are several options for fixing the tiller in the tiller housing.
– The housing has an internal conical shape that holds the tiller securely. For quick installation, simply push the tiller firmly into the housing. To remove it, twist the tiller around its axis while pulling it out. This method is ideal if you need to disassemble the rudder frequently — it becomes compact and convenient for transport and storage.
– If you prefer to keep the tiller installed for a longer period, there are additional secure fixation options available. You can choose the one that best suits your needs.

Do I need tools for assembly?
No special tools are required to mount the rudder on the boat — simply “install and sail.”
How does the kick-up system work?
The Dotan Rudder Mechanism – How It Works:
Lift the tiller and quickly lower it — the rudder blade locks into one of two positions:
- Down (working position)
- Up (raised position)
Repeat the same motion to switch the blade to the opposite position.

Warranty & Support
What warranty do you offer?
Your Dotan rudder system comes with a 3-year limited warranty for the rudder head and a 2-year limited warranty for the blade. The rudder head for Optimists has a 10-year limited warranty. Details: Product Warranty
What if a part breaks — can I order spare parts?
Yes, all spare parts for Dotan rudders are available in our shop.
